سمر حداد كينغ

المديرة الفنية ومؤسسة فرقة يا سمر! للمسرح الراقص الناشطة في مدينة نيويورك وفلسطين. حاصلة على تقدير إمتياز من معهد Ailey في جامعة Fordham في نيويورك حيث درست تحت إشراف مصممة الرقص كازوكو هيراباياشي.سمر مدربة بيلاتيس معتمدة من مدرسة كين في مدينة نيو يورك، درست علم التشريح تحت إشراف السيدة ريبيكا ديتزيل.عرضت اعمالها في اكثر من 19 دولة عبر اربع قارات، أخرجت وصممت الرقص للعديد من الفرق والمهرجانات في الولايات المتحدة والعالم منها: مهرجان هونج كونج للفنون(هونج كونج)، هابرد ستريت 2 (شيكاجو)، ومهرجان رام الله للرقص المعاصر، “المسار” في /St. Ann’s Warehouse (نيويورك) وفي مسرح Good Chance (مرسيليا) وغيرهم.حاصلة على عدد من الجوائز والزمالة والاقامات الفنية منها: جائزة الفنان الفلسطيني الشاب من مهرجان Palest’In and OUT في باريس. وعلى اقامة Chaillot – théâtre national de la Danse الفنية في باريس، وزمالة واقامة فنية من مركز الباليه والفنون (CBA) في جامعة نيويورك، وعلى لقب Toulmin Creater (CBA / National Sawdust. تعاونت سمر في عددا من الإنتاجات المسرحية والغنائيات منها : Dead Are My People (Noor Theatre ،NYC، و We Live in Cairo ، American Repertory Theatre ، بوسطن). حصلت على جائزة Creative Capital Wild Futures: الفن والثقافة والتأثير لعام 2023 عن مشروعها الجديد متعدد التخصصات Radio Act.

Samar Haddad King

Samar Haddad King, artistic/founding director of YSDT, graduated from the Ailey/Fordham BFA program under the tutelage of Kazuko Hirabayashi. Samar is Pilates certified from the Kane School in New York City and studied anatomy under the tutelage of Rebecca Dietzel. Her work has been performed in 19 countries on four continents, with commissions throughout the US and abroad including Hong Kong Arts Festival (Hong Kong), Hubbard Street 2 (Chicago), Ramallah Contemporary Dance Festival (Ramallah), The Walk/St. Ann’s Warehouse (New York), Good Chance Theatre (Marseille), and others. Awards and fellowships include the Prix des Jeunes Créateurs Palestiniens pour la Diversité des Expressions Artistiques (Palest’In & Out Festival, Paris), La Fabrique Chaillot Residency (Chaillot – Théâtre national de la Danse, Paris), The Center for Ballet and the Arts at NYU, and Toulmin Creator (CBA/National Sawdust, NYC). Theater and musical theater credits include Dead Are My People (Noor Theatre, NYC) and We Live in Cairo (American Repertory Theater, Boston). She is a 2023 Creative Capital Wild Futures: Art, Culture, Impact awardee for her new multidisciplinary project Radio Act.
