So much art has worked over the
idea of baring the soul that it was refreshing to see someone go at it from the
other direction. In Layered Identity by the Palestinian-American choreographer Samar Haddad King,
dancer Zoe Rabinowitz covered herself in long veils, skirts and shawls. Trapped
behind yards of drab clothing, she goes from free spirit to faceless.
