Sara Genoves-Sylvan
A native New Yorker, Sara graduated from the Ailey/Fordham BFA-Dance program cum laude. While at the school she performed works by Alvin Ailey, Martha Graham and William Forsythe, among others. She also performed “Memoria” by Alvin Ailey, with the Alvin AIley American Dance Theater in their 2004 and 2007 NY City Center seasons. She has worked and performed with Alex Ketley’s The Foundry, Helen Pickett’s Orange Coat Gallery Project, and the lara wilson dance project. Sara is also a certified yoga instructor. She joined YSDT in 2007, and is excited to be collaborating and performing with the company.
